The 220 South Union Hotel building is located in Alexandria, Virginia directly next to the Potomac River. It is built on a historical location which caused the excavation process to be split into three phases to allow archeologists to inspect the underlying ground for historical artifacts.
The project obtained a LEED-Silver certification and includes a dewatering system allowing the site to control the groundwater around and underneath it. 120 hotel rooms spanning over approximately 100,000-square feet of hotel space.
